In founding Proteus Media, his objective was to deliver cost-effective Web solutions—deployed using PHP and mySQL architecture—to provide clients with robust, scalable Web sites that can be easily administered and maintained. Ideally, no specialized Web knowledge is needed.

Prior to founding Proteus Media, Roberts worked in marketing communications for companies including the University of Notre Dame and Northwestern Mutual Life. Versatile as a writer, he has published on issues ranging from the social sciences to sales strategies for the insurance industry. His portfolio includes a variety of annual reports, newsletters, investment prospectus, Web sites and video scripts.

Roberts previously taught a 300 level Publication Design course (Mass Communications Department) at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

For his work with Grossnickle Eye Center, the practice received a Silver Microphone award for excellence in radio advertising. He holds a BA in Mass Communications from the University of Wisconsin—Milwaukee, but secretly wants an MBA, or at minimum, to go to grad school.
